Surgent CPA Review recently announced the winners of the 2018 College Scholarship Program. This scholarship is open to any student currently enrolled at an accredited college or university within the United States, and who is working towards an accounting or finance major. Emma S., from the University of Colorado, and Nicole Z., from the University of Wisconsin, were chosen as winners.

Surgent CPA Review, who pioneered the launch and drove the subsequent popularity of adaptive learning technology in the CPA Exam prep industry, views the College Scholarship Program as a natural extension of their mission to help CPA Exam candidates reach their professional goals. This scholarship is intended to help students who may be facing financial barriers in their educational or professional journey.

In addition to monetary scholarships, Surgent also offers hundreds of full course scholarships throughout the year to qualified candidates from various firms, universities, and professional organizations who are working to obtain their CPA credential. The value of these course scholarships totals over $400,000.

“We know how difficult it can be to earn the CPA credential,” said Liz Kolar, Executive Vice President at Surgent CPA Review, “and we’re incredibly proud of our review course, which has enabled candidates to pass the CPA Exam significantly faster and with much higher pass rates than the national average. We’ve brought to market breakthrough features like ReadySCORE™, which makes CPA prep more transparent and the journey easier. It’s only fitting that we extend this commitment to helping candidates pass the CPA exam to deserving students who need some additional financial support to complete their degree.”

Surgent’s annual College Scholarship Program is announced in May of each year and concludes in November. To learn more about this program, or to bookmark for future application, please visit: https://www.surgent.com/college-scholarship/
