Rachael Ivanovic: Meet Surgent’s new Student Ambassador

Hi my name is Rachael Ivanovic. I have two main reasons for wanting to be a Student Ambassador for Surgent CPA Review.

The first is to help others. Since I am a first generation college student, I was on my own when it came to figuring out college and the necessary steps in order to get where I wanted to be. Along my education journey I fell in love with school and taking steps to exceed instead of just trying to pass. I turned my love of education into helping others succeed and exceed as well. I have helped over 5 different people set up an education plan and help them layout plans to graduate. I’ve learned I can help many people by sharing my mistakes and how they can avoid them. This is the same for accounting, I’ve learned a lot regarding different careers, companies, certificates, etc. and I love to share to make decisions easier for others. This will be the same working along with Surgent CPA Review. I believe I have found a good company with a good review program and would like to share the knowledge. I also will be able to become more knowledgeable regarding the CPA process, which can be passed along to my fellow accounting students. Overall, I will be able to help others, which I love doing.

My second reason is for personal benefit. I come from a very hardworking family, but we haven’t caught many breaks. My father is 63 and still working to help me pay for school. I know we, as a family, do not have extra money to spend on a review course. I’ve tried to work and save as much as I can, while still earning good grades in school, but it never seems to be enough. I believe I will be able to help others, while helping out my family and myself.
